Our mission statement is "love your smile," and I want to help people achieve that. For some people that may mean a comprehensive smile makeover or orthodontics, and for others it may simply mean having their teeth cleaned for the first time in their life. I want to learn what is most important for our patients, and to make their goals my highest priority!
I received my Bachelor of Science and my DDS from the University of Alberta, and I take more than 100 hours of continuing education per year. My main focus is in orthodontics and complex restorative treatments.
In the Practice
I love trying to exceed people's expectations about what they think when coming to the dentist. I constantly hear things like, "that was way better than I thought" or "before I came here, I was so nervous of the dentist, and now I love you guys!" That is what keeps me going: trying to change people's perceptions of dentistry! I love this job, and appreciate the loyalty and trust of our patients. I often see people make real changes in their lives because of us. I wanted to be a dentist since I was nine years old, and haven’t looked back once!
Our office has so much fun doing what we do, and I think it shows. People comment all the time about what a fun place this is. Our team atmosphere can't be beat! My team is what keeps me going.
I am proud to say I was born and raised in Slave Lake! My husband, John, is our office manager. We have a son named Cooper, and a daughter, Darby. We also have a dog named Casper! In my spare time, I love hanging out with my family, quadding, vacationing, reading, and watching reality TV. I am also a member of the Slave Lake Kinettes, which is a ladies charity group. I have been a member for eight years.
