They took extremely good care of me in my emergency. I'm terrified of doctors/dentists and this facility took care of my every desire from bringing me blankets to actually breathing with me well I was getting multiple needles in my mouth they made sure multiple times that I was okay and comfortable they walked me through every little thing that was happening from a tool slipping to the tooth breaking (my teeth were horrendous had a mauler that was 80% decayed.) They made me feel so comfortable and cared for it was genuinely such a relief I honestly couldn't recommend this office more I truly wish I remembered the dentists names that were helping me I seriously can't praise them enough. I will be back to have check ups done and my teeth cleaned in the near future I believe they've honestly cracked my fear of the dentist. If I felt any discomfort all I had to do was raise my hand even the slightest and they immediately stopped and took care of whatever I needed. I really can't say enough good things even the reception gals were so kind caring and funny I wish I wasn't in so much pain when I met them cause I would of chatted up a storm and cracked more jokes then nodding and mumbling 😅 If you're looking for a safe and friendly environment I can't recommend this one enough I don't feel this review did them justice they truly truly truly took care of me and I am forever thankful for that Thank you slave lake dentists ❤️

Frenectomy: We had an amazing experience at Slave Lake Dental we were referred there by public health following issues with my newborns latch and inability to breast feed as they believed he had a possible tongue tie. We were assessed at Slave Lake Dental and it was revealed he not only had a tongue tie but also an upper lip tie which caused a 75% restriction in his mouth. They went through the process with us and were able to preform the frenectomies right there (done via laser cuts). This was a procedure that was well known and had been practiced numerous times by the dentist Dr. Dallin but was a new procedure to the other staff who were recently trained and learning under the dentist. The entire process (which took about 5 minutes total) and follow up provided by the clinic was amazing 2 weeks later my baby was all healed and is now able to breastfeed for the first time! I am so grateful we were able to access this procedure in Slave Lake and am so impressed by the care provided by all the staff there. Highly Recommend!

I have a 12 year old boy was told by a orthodontics in edmonton that he needs to have 4 teeth pulled to start his invisalign jorney. We decided to give Slavelake Dental a visit appointments was done fast they have align all insurance needs for us and open financial agreement. All was handled professionally with care. Just this month Dental Slavelake have manage to put out a community service that i have appreciated since I have my elderly Father just got his PR and not having dental insurance is a stress to deal with especially if there is a dental issue needed to be address right away. They have been really generous to the community this way. On the day off the visit my dad is experiencing HBP and didnt able to receive the procedure that he needs but Slave Dental didnt stop there they monitored dad BP and they have him rebooked for another appointment as soon as his BP is under control. I would like to extend my appreciation to the Clinic and the work that they do for the community of Slavelake and surrounding areas.

Slave lake dental the staff are so friendly always ready to listen very understandable and knowledgeable always going the extra miles to help As you enter you will be greeted with a smile you don't need to worry about waiting those Dentist and orthodontist are always on time thumbs up My son canine tooth didn't came down keep watching it but no space I was told slave lake dental is the place to take him my experience at slave lake dental is incredible he started his braces august last year 2023 and am so happy with the results the space is there now for that tooth to fit in I must say a big thank you to Dr.Terri the lady with the smile and her team who made it possible am so happy with the results an seeing with my son canine tooth the journey just started but the experience is great so far Thank you for the great customer service slave lake dental team.

I recently had an appointment at the dental office for a checkup cleaning and dentist consultation. I was greeted at the front desk by the pleasant receptionist. She made sure all my info was current. Alicia the hygienist came and took me to the chair. She explained what she was going to do. She then proceeded to do x-rays a scan of my teeth to compare to a previous scan. Which she showed me and explained the differences. Next my teeth were cleaned and a fluoride applied. The dentist then came and reviewed my results the hygienist did up the submission to my insurance. I was then taken to the front for payment. Another appointment was made for next year. Very pleasant experience everyone was very friendly and professional. Definitely recommend this dentist office.

Dr.Lim is the best and has the best crew of people working as a team. Lots of experience and can do great work on the fly. I needed root canal wisdom teeth pulled and I was able to get this done between two appointments this team squeeze me in and took care of me. There was no pain during or after procedures. Aria her assistant same thing knows how to make you comfortable and works very well with Dr. There personable funny and actually make something I hate a tolerable time. Shout out to the whole team there friendly and really seem to treat you like a good customer. Lucky to have this business/facility in slave lake alberta

My recent experiences at Slave Lake Dental were all 5-Star worthy. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable throughout your treatment and ensure they answer any questions you may have before leaving their office. I had three visits in the last few weeks - first a routine hygiene appointment with Raman who was super gentle and just lovely! Then Dr. Pukanich & Rebecca gave my smile a mini-makeover using "Bioclear" (and I am super happy with the results) - lastly I had some fillings done by Dr. Stone & Diana who kept me comfortable throughout and were finished super quickly!

Slave Lake Dental always provides a first class experience. From the moment you walk in staff are friendly engaging and. I always love going somewhere where the organization makes me feel valued as a client Raman did an amazing job as always and Dr Terri as usual pleaded with me to floss more!! At the end of the day the staff does a great job they care and they put in the effort to not only clean my teeth but provide an experience. What more do you want out of your dental experience! Recommend this team 10 times out of 10

This was my first time going to Slave lake dental and I was very impressed. They knew who I was right as I walked in and gave me A tour of the place right off the bat. Everyone was extremely pleasant and the equipment was very new. I can’t think of anything they could do to make my visit any better. I lost track of time and even accidentally made them stay 40minutes after closing and i didn’t get the feeling like they were rushing me out the door. Couldn’t have been a better experience.

Dr Terri Pukanich

General Dentist

Dr. Terri Pukanich received her DDS from the University of Alberta and has since completed extensive post graduate training in Orthodontics and TMJ Disorders. Terri purchased the Slave Lake Dental practice in 2003 along with her husband John.

Dr. Pukanich was born and raised here in Slave Lake, Alberta. Terri stays active by boating, fishing, quadding, skiing, playing hockey and reading with her husband and two children Cooper and Darby.

Dr. Pukanich is very passionate about dentistry and leadership. In fact, her favorite thing about her job is when patients get the ‘light bulb’ moment when they are made aware of their conditions and why they may be that way.

Terri’s favorite quote is “Every patient carries his or her own doctor inside – They come to us not knowing that truth – we are at our best when we give the doctor who resides within each patient a chance to go to work” by Albert Schweitzer.

Natalie joined the Slave Lake Dental team in 2007 and has been a wonderful addition to our team. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2002 with her DDS and Bachelor of Science. Natalie’s favorite part of working at Slave Lake Dental is the people! Natalie said “I love all the girls I have worked with over the years and the patients. The relationships I’ve made makes all the difference.”

Natalie moved to Slave Lake with her husband Greg and is a proud mother of two handsome little boys. When she has free time, Natalie enjoys golfing, cooking and camping. Other than dentistry, her passion is for travelling.
