Always Learning and Open to Change

January 20, 2017

AT OUR PRACTICE, we believe in lifelong learning. In fact, always being open to learning and implementing new things is one of our Core Values at Slave Lake Dental! When it comes to optometry, we are constantly learning new ways to improve our practice, provide more effective treatment options and better our services to you, our amazing patients!

Here’s What We’ve Learned In 2016

Our boss Dr. Terri Pukanich believes that a team that is always learning will forever be growing and becoming the best we can be. We are always expanding our knowledge, but here are a few of our more recent trainings, workshops and innovations just in the last year:
  •  CPR Re-Certification in Slave Lake in January 2016
  • Our entire team trained in How to Serve Patients Better with Mary Osborne in October 2016
  • Our Hygienist team brushed up on Instrumentation at the University of Alberta with a North American renowned clinician In October 2016
  • Our team learned how to utilize our new iTero 3D Impression Scanner in August 2016
  • Dr. Pukanich and our Hygienists studied at the Continuing to Care Workshop with Mary Osborne and Mike McDevitt in Seattle in November 2016
  • Our Hygienists also attended the Pacific Dental Conference in Vancouver in March 2016
Our Team Members Love Learning New Things!

Not only do we strive to improve our practice of optometry, but our team members are also learning interesting things of their own!

We firmly believe that with a little effort, you can learn anything!
