The Rotary Club of Slave Lake Public Library is hosting a Story Time community event for young children. Join us at the Slave Lake Library for a Special Story Time with our amazing Dental Hygienist Erin ♥
There will be a fun story and a craft for all the children afterwards! Everyone is welcome to attend! The story starts at 10:30 am on March 6th, 2018. This program helps build the early literacy, listening and group participation skills required for successful school entry in children.
Here is a photo from our last Story Time at the Library:
Story Time works to provide a fun and rich experience that will build a love of books, libraries and reading that will stay with children for a lifetime. Story time will also provide engaging activities that build children's school readiness skills. Story Time will help children:
Learn to be attentive and follow direction
learn to develop independence in a comfortable, fun setting
learn to be considerate of others by providing a structure introduction to group activities
develop a desire to learn to read
develop a love of stories and good books
develop school readiness skills
Contact our office or the local Slave Lake Library for more information. We hope to see you there!
